Hi, this is John Criswell.  Welcome to Manufacturing Marvels.

With modern manufacturing and a Midwestern work ethic, Groschopp, Incorporated is the drive behind motors. Drawing on over seventy years of expertise, Groschopp manufactures fractional horsepower electric motors, gearmotors, gearboxes, and motor components for OEMs and distributors.

Groschopp’s products are made and assembled in the U.S.A. at its plant in Sioux Center, Iowa. The ISO certified company operates a full service engineering department which creates prototypes, custom motors, and design modifications. They have more than eight thousand designs to work from. Standard catalog motors and gearmotors built to ship in forty eight hours or less.

Groschopp works hard to make its products and services better for customers, such as its factory direct sales to reduce costs. Groschopp’s website features MotorTec™, a free online design and performance evaluation program, along with the FastTrack™ product modification process, which solves applications outside of standard specifications. Its database for product configuration puts over one hundred thousand possible product options at the customer’s fingertips.

Meeting Groschopp’s quality standards means trace-ability and testing, which is why Groschopp traces component adherence to standards along an unbroken chain of measurements. Using dedicated gauge tracking ensures products meet or exceed agreed upon standards. Special in house facilities are used to test products for speed, strength, efficiency, environmental factors, and more.

From automotive transmissions to a milkshake blending machine, Groschopp has the know how to get devices running and up to speed.

How to use the Motor Search Tool

Narrow your search by selecting motor type, gearbox, voltage, and phase options for your desired motor.

Select a dominant variable: choose one of the three parameters to narrow your search. The selected variable determines which slider bar you will be able to manually move.

Use the slider corresponding to your dominant variable to further narrow your motor selection. The other sliders will automatically move to show available ranges based on the range of your selected variable.

Results will upload as your search criteria changes. If you have any questions regarding your results or how to use the search tool, you can chat with us using the green tab on the left-hand side of your screen.

Note: Groschopp Universal motors are custom built to fit your application so no additional options are available to narrow the search. Selecting the Universal motor type will prompt a message taking you to the Universal product page.
