What is the ISO9001 Quality Management System?
ISO9001 is a system that addresses how an organization consistently provides the products or services it creates by focusing on the continual improvement of processes to meet customer requirements. To become certified, a company must put a Quality Management System into place to cover the requirements of the ISO9001 standards. The Quality Management System includes a Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, Quality Manual, Procedures, Forms, and lists storage requirements for Records.
Why Does Quality Management Matter?
Having a quality management system such as ISO9001 in place is important because it holds a company (and all it’s departments) to a certain standard of procedures and it places an effort toward continual improvement. ISO9001 audits are performed by third party agencies and the accreditation must be renewed every three years. Having this certificate not only holds Groschopp to it’s own standards, but it allows other companies to easily recognize this system and trust the work Groschopp is doing to function as effectively as possible.
